São Paulo, 29 February 2024
Environment and Sustainability
Brazil's economic development is directly connected to environmental concerns. Ibama, an agency linked to the Ministry of the Environment, is responsible for equalising economic and social evolution with an ecologically balanced environment. All licensing processes coordinated by the institution were detailed to members of the British Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Brazil (Britcham). Ibama's Deputy Director of Environmental Licensing, Claudia Jeanne, summarised that the activity aims to work with locational and technological criteria, based on readings and technical assessments.
