A delegation organised by the British Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Brazil (Britcham) carried out a technical visit to the Port of Açu, the largest gas-fired thermoelectric park in Latin America, with 3GW and 2.4GW of solar and wind energy under development. The complex, located in São João da Barra, Rio de Janeiro, belongs to the private sector and is made up of 22 companies. The group was led by Fabio Caldas, President of the Board of Directors of Britcham Brasil, and Nicholas Burridge, President of Britcham Rio de Janeiro, as well as representatives of the Port of Açu itself, who presented the complete installation to the 30 members of the delegation. The initiative is part of the exclusive benefits offered to members of the British Chamber.
