XXI Britcham International Energy Seminar: The role of traditional and new energy sources in the transition to a low-carbon world

Britcham held the 21st International Energy Seminar at the Guanabara Palace in Rio de Janeiro, focusing on the role of traditional and new energy sources in the transition to a low-carbon world. The opening was conducted by Fabio Caldas (Britcham); Anjoum Noorani (British Government); and Bruno Costa and Marcelo Felipe (Government of the State of Rio de Janeiro). The first panel, Energy Security: a look to the future, and the second panel, New Paths to Decarbonisation, were moderated, respectively, by the president and vice-president of the Energy Committee, Leonardo Miranda and Monique Gonçalves, and featured the participation of Cleusa Araujo (Shell Brazil), Simone Guimarães (bp Brazil), Thomas Nemes (Anglo American), Giovani Machado (Episteme), Luiz Mandarino (Energy Summit Global) and Germana Cruz (Standard Chartered). The closing remarks were made by Nicholas Burridge, president of Britcham Rio de Janeiro.
