On Thursday, 30 October, the British Chamber held a special dinner in honour of Personality of the Year 2025: Ana Sanches, currently the leading executive in Brazil's mineral sector and the first woman to chair Anglo American in Brazil and the Board of Directors of the Brazilian Mining Institute (IBRAM). In 2025, the event celebrated 200 years of bilateral relations between Brazil and the United Kingdom and was attended by Britcham leaders, members, authorities and admirers of Ana. Held at the Guanabara Palace, the evening also featured a performance by the AdoraSom orchestra, a social project in Rio de Janeiro that brought together Brazilian and British cultures through music.
