The British Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the EIC (Energy Industries Council), organised an in-person event in São Paulo on the theme: “Artificial Intelligence in the Energy Sector: Innovation, Safety and Case Studies”. The event, held with the support of TozziniFreire, discussed how AI is being applied to the operation and management of the energy sector, contributing to efficiency gains, risk monitoring, decision-making and digital transformation across various areas of the industry. The meeting brought together Élcio Brito, a researcher at GAESI/USP and co-founder and Director of SPI Integração de Sistemas; Paulo Macedo, Director of Information Technology and Digital at bp Bioenergy; and Rodrigo Ribeiro, Executive Manager of Information Digital Technology at Shell Brasil. The opening was led by Thomas Lucena, Copresident of the Energy Committee, and Luanna Souza, Senior Project Manager at EIC. Furthermore, the closing session was led by Luiz Felipe Di Sessa, Copresident of the Technology & Innovation Committee.
