On 15 October, the British Chamber’s Energy Committee organised a meeting, exclusively for members, to discuss the SBCE (Brazilian Greenhouse Gas Emissions Trading System) and the challenges for implementing the carbon market in Brazil's energy sector. The event offered different perspectives on how carbon pricing and measurement will work and gave a better understanding of how companies can operate more safely, sustainably and reliably. The meeting was moderated by Cleusa Araujo, Social Impact and Energy Transition Manager at Shell, and featured Leonardo Maués, Carbon Market Manager at Petrobras, and Vivian Mac Knight, Climate Change General Manager at Vale.
