Speaker biography

Thiago Barral is a career employee of the Energy Research Company (EPE), linked to the Ministry of Mines and Energy and responsible for developing studies of national energy planning. He joined in 2007 as an analyst and held positions as Superintendent of Generation Projects, Director of Economic-Energy and Environmental Studies and, from 2019, President, also having a seat on the National Energy Policy Council. He also worked as a focal point of Brazil with clean energy ministerial and mission innovation. He holds a degree in Civil Engineering (UFJF), a master’s degree in Water Resources and Environment (COPPE/UFRJ) and a post-graduate degree in Public Administration (FGV).
