President’s Message

Dear Member,

I am proud to be the first woman president of the British Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Brazil – Britcham in its more than 100-year history. I was also re-elected to a second term running from 2022 to 2024. I became president at the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020, a time of great uncertainty with many activities migrating online. Now in my second term, I remain committed to increasing the opportunities available to members and building a much closer relationship with the United Kingdom’s government in Brazil.

Ably supported by the Board of Directors, the Presidents of our Branches and our Thematic and Executive Committees, who are all focused on serving Britcham and building an ever-better Chamber, the executive team has been deploying all its experience and energy to create additional value for our members. This means we continue to expand the work we do at Britcham, invest in Government Relations and Advocacy issues, build out our team and take an ever more professional approach to Institutional Communications, Events and media exposure for Britcham and its leadership.

Britcham has been very active organising a broad range of in-person and online events, meetings and technical visits addressing significant sector and transversal issues and I would like to thank our members and partners for taking such an active role in our activities. We have made the Chamber a stronger platform with greater relevance to the Brazil-UK business and wider community.

I am proud to be able to celebrate Britcham’s achievements and successes while reiterating our mission to promote bilateral trade between Brazil and the UK and help create diverse, inclusive, prosperous and sustainable business and societal spaces that serve our members and grow trade, industry, services and investment in our country.

Warmest regards,

Ana Paula Vitelli
President
